Remote Sr. Underwriter - Medmal

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Remote Sr. Underwriter specializing in Medical Malpractice to join our team. This role involves analyzing and assessing risk in medical malpractice insurance coverage applications, providing quotes/proposals/renewals, and ensuring high-quality customer service while maintaining profitability and loss ratios.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and assess medical malpractice insurance applications to determine risk and coverage needs.
• Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and renewals to clients.
• Evaluate loss ratios and conduct risk analysis to inform underwriting decisions.
• Collaborate with the underwriting team to develop and implement underwriting guidelines and strategies.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external clients to facilitate the underwriting process.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of underwriting experience, specifically in medical malpractice or professional liability insurance.
• Strong data analysis skills and proficiency in underwriting software and tools.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Ability to travel/commute as needed for company meetings
• CPCU or RPLU designation is preferred but not required.
