Job Description
An employer in the Sugar Land, Texas area is looking for a remote Service Desk Technician. This person is going to work 100% remote and will join a team of technicians to help answer inbound calls and resolve basic issues. They will receive calls mainly from students grades 6-12 to help with password resets. They have a lot of new software, so the students will need a lot of help gaining access and resetting passwords. They also might receive calls for basic HW and SW troubleshooting, so this person needs to have worked previously in a remote support role providing level 1 tech support. They will work out of a ticketing que and be required to document everything. The district will provide all equipment, but this person must have WiFi at home and a working phone. They also need to be located in the greater Sugar Land and Houston area. This position pays between $17-$18/hr.
