Job Description

Ascendo is working with an international goliath in the hotel industry looking to find their next Regional Marketing & Communications Manager. This individual will be responsible for their Latam Division, at the forefront of their industry-leading marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic marketing plans for the region and individual hotels, ensuring alignment with broader organizational objectives.
  • Define the key elements of each hotel's brand identity within the overall brand framework, ensuring consistency and quality in positioning and execution.
  • Lead content strategy and campaign development across The Americas, leveraging data and insights to optimize performance and meet targets.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Director to integrate marketing strategies for newly acquired properties.
  • Build and sustain media relationships across The Americas, supporting both internal and external communications, including public relations for individual hotels.
  • Create and execute marketing strategies that foster growth and enhance the reputation of hotels in the region, focusing on client attraction, retention, and overall brand visibility.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to the marketing and communications teams at each hotel, as well as to the Regional Marketing Coordinator, with a focus on coaching, support, and professional development. Your ability to tailor messaging to local communities, backed by data, will be key in driving successful marketing campaigns.
  • Work closely with the Regional Director to drive the regional growth strategy, leading initiatives that elevate brand recognition, favorability, and overall strength. Your work will directly influence client acquisition and retention efforts. Additionally, you will support communications, ensuring they align with the overall brand voice and messaging.
  • Understand the unique markets, cultures, and needs of each hotel, using data insights to craft marketing campaigns that reflect each property’s identity. Oversee the customer journey and contribute to campaigns that align with both commercial goals and the hotel's culture.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in brand marketing with proven success in promoting and representing brands effectively.
  • Experience managing teams, fostering success, and delivering results.
  • Skilled in navigating a matrixed environment, leading brand initiatives, and achieving impactful results.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience assessing ROI, KPIs, and utilizing data to drive informed decision-making.
  • Proficient in using CRM systems to enhance marketing initiatives.
  • Experienced in designing and executing successful campaigns, as well as leading teams to launch initiatives effectively.
  • Exceptional project management skills, ensuring all tasks and projects are completed on time and within scope.
  • A background in service industries is essential, and experience in the education sector is a plus.
  • Skilled in monitoring and analyzing competitor activities within the market.
  • A passion for creativity and design, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent cross-cultural communication skills, enabling effective interaction with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to influence teams and drive positive behavior change.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the flexibility to handle multiple tasks and shifting priorities.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both English and Spanish.
  • Solid copywriting abilities in both languages, ensuring clarity and impact in messaging.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across The Americas to support various teams and initiatives.

Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
