Pediatric Therapeutic Services (PTS) is seeking a full time Reading Specialist to provide school-based services for a local school district.
\n
\n Responsibilities: \n

\n\t
• Shows evidence of knowledge of PA Common Core and technology.\n\t
• Works well individually and as part of a team.\n\t
• Uses research-based resources to assess individual students’ reading capabilities and generate assessments for the IEP team and case managers.\n\t
• Plan, develop, and implement a weekly intervention schedule, including individual and group treatments, co-teaching, professional development and specialized projects.\n\t
• Provides support to teachers as well as curriculum and assessment training for all teachers and instructional assistants.\n

\n Qualifications: \n\n

\n\t
• Reading Specialist Certification\n\t
• MA required in Special Education.\n\t
• Strong verbal and written communication and motivational skills.\n\t
• Ability to effectively communicate with, instruct, and work with students, staff and parents.\n

• We offer competitive rates with compensation for direct AND indirect time. Such as, treatment sessions, documentation, meeting attendance, and report writing.\n\t
• This is a 1099 position.\n\t
• PTS provides consistent on-site and off-site mentorship with Clinical Directors and Team Leaders.\n\t
• School-Based Academy: We provide the support and community that a new School-Based therapist needs to feel comfortable and to be successful.\n\t
• Lending Library: PTS recognizes the additional expenses in providing evaluation for materials. We have an extensive library of testing tools and assessments for therapist to borrow as needed.\n\t
• Team Tuesday: Join our monthly Team Tuesdays via Zoom where you can connect with other PTS professionals to ask questions, share resources, and network.\n

\n Responsibilities: \n\n

• Assessing children’s skills and learning requirements\n\t
• Designing Individualized Educational Plans (IEPs)\n\t
• Collaborating with parents and school staff to track students progress\n
