Job Details Currently seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our team in the Riverside / San Bernardino area to oversee complex DDC Controls projects. This role is critical to delivering excellence and driving the success of our operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead execution teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while maintaining positive cash flow. Actively pursue change orders to enhance profitability.
- Develop project schedules, evaluate contractual scopes, and adapt to field directives or scheduling changes to meet evolving project demands.
- Manage costs, billings, and collections, ensuring timely and accurate project billing while achieving profitability targets.
- Prepare cost estimates, proposals, and negotiate final pricing for additional work or change orders.
- Proactively identify potential issues using financial reports and project schedules, implement recovery plans, and resolve disputes with minimal escalation.
- Oversee all aspects of project construction to ensure compliance with specifications, local codes, safety standards, and installation techniques.
- Procure, schedule, and oversee the delivery of materials required for assigned projects.
- Select, negotiate, and issue subcontracts to meet project objectives.
- Work closely with the Operations Manager or Service Manager to allocate resources, including materials, engineering, and commissioning tasks.
- Ensure field teams and subcontractors adhere to safety standards and legal requirements.
- Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients, consultants, prime contractors, and subcontractors. Represent the company at progress meetings and ensure clear communication of project expectations.
- Coordinate customer training and support project development efforts alongside the Operations and Service Managers
Requirements:
- Proven project management experience in DDC Controls, building automation, or a related field.
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, billing, and collections effectively.
- Familiarity with construction standards, local codes, and safety requirements.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with a cumulative value of $2.5 to $4.0 million.
- A proactive, self-directed approach with a focus on delivering exceptional results.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following BAS systems: Schneider Electric, Siemens, JCI, ALC, Trane, Delta Controls, Distech, Honeywell, or others
