Restaurant Project Manager

Focus is more on interior design work rather than exterior-focused projects. Focus specifically on the production of construction documents rather than the design itself.

Must have extensive experience creating the designs and more on those who can turn those designs into blueprints/construction documents.

Must have experience in retail stores & restaurant design

Involved with or responsible for the production of construction documents.

Must include: work samples or a portfolio with the resumes

AutoCAD heavy

Responsibilities include the following:

  1. Team Management. Oversee the work done by the Draftsperson and/or Assistant PM.
  2. Communication with Clients, Building Officials, Landlords, and Consultants.
  3. Coordination and management of multiple projects and clients in a timely fashion.
  4. Review state and local code compliance.
  5. Execute site surveys on a need basis.

Summary/Objective:

The Project Manager will be responsible for reviewing construction and /or architectural documents for new or existing projects in addition to the following responsibilities.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Team Management. Oversee the work done by the Draftsperson and/or Assistant PM.
  • Communication with Clients, Building Officials, Landlords, and Consultants.
  • Coordination and management of multiple projects and clients in a timely fashion.
  • Review state and local code compliance.
  • Execute site surveys on a need basis.

Job Duties:

· Prepare and develop lay outs and architectural drawings according to client requests Coordinate drawings of the Draftsperson according to the project specifications

· Utilize AutoCAD and other programs to develop lay out and diagrams with attention to specification details

· Consult technical handbooks and guidelines and assist in landlord research

· Ability to interpret and apply state and local code compliances

· Prepare documents for project authorization and management of bidding processes

· Maintain accessible hardcopies and electronic files and records of survey office reports

· Execute site surveys on a need basis

· Interact with clients on project clarification and other architectural requirements

· Ensure compliance of all architectural guidelines and standards.

· Provide architectural support to Project Manager on multiple projects

· Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field

· Minimum 2 years of experience as an APM or Job Captain in an architectural firm

· Ability to interpret construction data, engineering calculations and drawings

· Proficiency in AutoCAD with strong 3D design skills and basic knowledge of SketchUp, Photoshop or Illustrator Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)

· Experience drafting retail or commercial construction documents preferred

· Must be able to work with minimal supervision

· Must be able to multitask and produce accurate work

· Must possess strong time management skills and the ability to handle the pressure of tight deadlines

Supervisory Responsibility

This is a supervisory position. This role will work collaboratively with positions in the same or different department.

Work Environment

This job can is hybrid to our client's Paramus, NJ office. When hybrid, this job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This job is in an open space office environment with considerable background noise and disturbances.
