Snapshot / Role Overview
We're seeking a Project Engineer in Phoenix, AZ to support project teams with technical coordination, submittal management, and field engineering for commercial mechanical projects.

Impact

• Enable project success through technical problem-solving and coordination

• Support project managers with RFIs, submittals, and change order processing

• Ensure quality installations by reviewing shop drawings and specifications

• Drive efficiency through effective communication with trades and suppliers

Responsibilities

• Review and process submittals, shop drawings, and product data

• Coordinate RFIs and technical questions with design teams

• Prepare change order estimates and cost proposals

• Conduct field visits to verify installation progress and quality

• Maintain project documentation and as-built drawings

• Support BIM coordination and clash detection activities

• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers on technical issues

• Assist with project closeout and commissioning activities

Requirements
Must-Haves

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management

• 1-3 years of experience in construction or engineering role

• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and construction methods

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Nice-to-Haves

• EIT certification or working toward PE license

• Experience with AutoCAD, REVIT, or BIM software

• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems

• Internship or co-op experience in mechanical construction
