Base pay range $65,000.00/yr - $80,000.00/yr From $65000, commensurate with experience Job Summary Reporting to the Plant Operations Manager, the Print Production Manager is responsible for managing all the activities related to Digital Production, including but not limited to cutting and all digital fabrication and the Sewing department. The duties include managing the established processes associated with these functions including scheduling, quality, and delivery data collection and evaluation and the required development and modification of standard operating procedures designed to improve the overall performance of these departments. This individual will also be responsible for workflow management, staffing, all administrative staff management issues. Duties And Responsibilities Continued development and management of cohesive workflow process Ensure correct work is flowing through department in an accurate, efficient, and timely fashion Communication of production schedule priorities within the department Prioritize, facilitate, and expedite all production activities ensuring that activities are consistent with customer needs and downstream departments Ensure accuracy & completeness of reporting tools Establish (in conjunction with Plant Manager) and analyze effectiveness of production metrics Monitor collection methods, accuracy and reporting frequency for all metrics and data for improvement Accurate & timely collection and analysis of data used to measure process improvement and workflow management against established department metrics (Daily, weekly, monthly, and annually). Data collection & reporting includes but is not limited to: Accuracy & Efficiency data, Equipment utilization, Production Methods, Remake & Rework quantity & costing, Delinquency data, Schedule Management Data Assist in the development of standard prepress practices related to: Color calibration, Linearization, Workflow system development Benchmark & track latest Digital Production systems & technology designed to streamline Print Production and improve quality Create time bound action plans designed to improve the financial performance of the Digital Production Department Develop and provide regular status updates to the pertinent personnel and senior management Ensure the positive and required interaction between Digital Production, cutting & other departments Refine, communicate, and manage to the department policies and procedures Hire, maintain, and refine the Digital and cutting staff based on workload requirements and customer needs Establish and monitor all training (new and existing) activities for the department Administer performance evaluations Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in production management or a related field Minimum 5 years of experience in Digital Production Management with an operation of similar size and scope Strong working knowledge of Digital production systems, techniques, and principles Ability to work weekends and long hours during peak production periods Qualifications, Skills, Abilities and Competencies: Highly organized, with strong attention to detail, and people management skills Ability to manage large workload, while producing quality work in a fast-pace environment with interruptions and deadlines Demonstrated ability to deal courteously and professionally with a diverse customers and internal customers such as creative and production departments Advanced ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English Proficiency with PC's to include knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), maintaining data bases, generating information and tracking status using proprietary software Ability to produce detailed reports, particularly in Excel Ability to develop creative solutions to client and internal problems and challenges Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects Safety conscious with ability to perform job functions in a safe manner Strong priority and time management skills Self-motivating and self-managing with a high degree of creativity and analytical ability Enthusiastic team member capable/able to devote significant time and effort to schedule management Thrives in a dynamic work environment with rapidly changing priorities Ability to contribute to building a strong and positive team spirit as well as align with GSP values You Should Be Proficient In Leadership / People Management Continuous Improvement Supervisory Experience Production Optimization Coaching and Mentoring ExperienceScheduling Experience Machines & Technologies You'll Use Large Format Printing Equipment Graphic and Signage Finishing Equipment (Zünd Digital Cutters, Summa Cutters, Graphtec (Plotter / Cutter), Colex (Router / Digital Cutter)) Flexographic Printing Press Router Table Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Design, Art/Creative, and Information Technology Industries Advertising Services Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at GSP Retail by 2x Get notified about new Print Production Manager jobs in Lenexa, KS. #J-18808-Ljbffr GSP Retail
