FREELANCE Preschool Singer Job Description

Position Title: Preschool - 12th grade Singer / Music Facilitator
Reports To: Preschool Director or Lead Teacher
Location: Preschool or Early Childhood Education Center

Primary Responsibilities

• Lead engaging sing-alongs and musical activities for children ages 25
• Introduce basic musical concepts such as rhythm, pitch, and melody
• Use instruments, movement, and storytelling to enhance musical experiences
• Foster creativity, confidence, and social interaction through music
• Collaborate with teachers to integrate music into the broader curriculum
• Prepare and perform songs for seasonal events, celebrations, and parent showcases
• Maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing musical environment

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong vocal ability and stage presence suitable for young audiences
• Knowledge of early childhood development and age-appropriate music techniques
• Ability to play basic instruments (e.g., guitar, keyboard, percussion) is a plus
• Patience, enthusiasm, and a playful spirit
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Experience in preschool or music education preferred
• CPR/First Aid certification may be required depending on the setting

Education & Desired Experience

• Degree or coursework in Music Education, Early Childhood Education, or related field
• Prior experience performing or teaching music to young children
• Familiarity with diverse musical genres and cultural songs
