At OhanaPsych we are a tele-psychiatry practice serving adults and children who live in Hawaii. The Aloha Spirit is part of every interaction we have with our clients and among each other. Working with us, you will be appreciated every day for your part to help people in Hawaii access psychiatric care via telehealth. We are the largest outpatient psychiatric practice group in Hawaii, all nurse practitioners.

Work from home or hybrid for a well-respected and growing tele-psychiatry practice, providers work a 10 hour, four-day work week, Providers are given one hour for administrative time daily and 30 min for lunch. We are open from 7am-6pm HST, Mon-Fri. Providers are supported by a support staff helping you take care of a panel of clients. We are looking for providers that are already in Hawaii. You must be in the process of moving to Hawaii to be considered. We are seeking an experienced provider in Hawaii, but would consider an inexperienced provider new graduates are mentored to success. Provider must be Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for lifespan care to join our well-respected practice. We provide telehealth psychiatric services to residents of Hawaii only.

Benefits:

Starting salary negotiable up to $150,000 per year. We reward higher productivity, salary can be up to three tiers and is based on TRVU productivity after 1st year of employment. Three tiers are $150,000 $175,000 and $200,000. Providers are not paid on per visit system.

Job Summary

General Accountabilities

• Analyzes and interprets patients' histories, symptoms, physical findings, or diagnostic information to develop proper diagnoses.
• Diagnoses or treats acute health care problems such as illnesses, infections, or injuries.
• Recommends diagnostic or therapeutic interventions.
• Prescribes medications.
• Educates patients about self-management of acute or chronic illnesses.
• Orders, performs, or interprets the results of diagnostic tests.
• Maintains complete and detailed records of patients' health care plans and prognoses.
• Detects and responds to adverse drug reactions.
• Keeps abreast of developments in nursing.
• Refer patients for primary care conditions.
• Schedules follow-up visits to check patients or evaluate health or illness care.
• Performs routine or annual psychiatric/physical examinations.
• Supervises or coordinates patient care or support staff activities.
• Maintains current knowledge of state legal regulations for nurse practitioner practice.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory processes and payer systems.

Job Qualifications

• Education: Master's degree PMHNP-BC
• Experience: 3-5 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Licenses/Certifications: Certifications and/or licensures having a Board of nursing license that does have prescriptive authority in Hawaii. Maintaining the NED prescriptive certificate in Hawaii all providers licenses must be unencumbered with the ability to write for controlled substances if needed.
