Overview

Lewis Energy Group is looking for a highly motivated Pipeline Operator I to join our midstream team. The Pipeline Operator performs mechanical functions including inspecting, checking, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing all mechanical equipment in order to maintain high levels of safe and productive equipment performance. Other responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

• Performs remedial and preventative maintenance and maintains facility appearance and safety through good housekeeping practices inside and outside of the facilities.
• Generates and maintains required logs.
• Monitors and adjusts equipment to maintain optimum availability and efficiency.
• Assists operations, I&E, and other work groups as needed or required.
• Reviews procedures as necessary to achieve good workmanlike performance and ensures compliance of all company and industry standards to meet the requirements of all regulatory agencies.
• Completes records of time and required regulatory reports.
• Maintains close contact with the supervisor regarding maintenance trouble reports and scheduled equipment maintenance to ensure minimum interruption to operations.
• Participates in available cross training to effectively develop skills in areas specific to other operators.
• Attends all safety meetings and safety training courses as required by regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience to include the following:
• Knowledge of industry related maintenance and repair standards.
• Knowledge of the general design and operation of a liquid or gas pipeline.
• Knowledge of centrifugal pumps, regulators, MOV's, electronic controls and medium electrical voltage is desired with an understanding of NGL pipelines
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

Physical and essential functions related to the work environment:

• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; climb or balance and taste or smell.
• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
• While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts; high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat and risk of electrical shock. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
