• 1st Shift (6am to 2:30pm)
  • Overtime: most work til 5pm, and half days on weekends too (Not Mandatory)

Pay - $24/hr - $28/hr

We're currently seeking a Pipe Welder for a leading manufacturer of industrial equipment in Franklin Park, IL. This person will play a vital role in helping the company keep up with the demand of equipment that they manufacture which consists of large pipes.

Job Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience within a Welding role with at least 1 year of experience as a Pipe Welder.
• Experience as a Pipe Welding at another manufacturer.
  • or have an ASME certification or went to Pipe Welding school.
• Experience with MIG & TIG Welding.
• Able to read mechanical and weld symbols.
• Able to pass an ASME-certified G6 Test (GMAW, GTAW)

Responsibilities:

• Read customs prints and make sure each weld meets the specs for that machine.
• Performing welding tasks to ASME code standards.
• Passing x-ray, dimension tolerance, and hydrostatic weld tests for quality.
• Weld parts in flat, vertical, and/or overhead positions.
• Cutting and grinding pipes using hand/power tools.
• Use precision measuring tools to inspect grooves and angles.
