Job Description:
The pharmacy student (intern) assists pharmacists to provide pharmacy services including the evaluation and input of licensed independent practitioner orders/prescriptions, and the technical functions of drug procurement, preparation, and distribution. These and all other duties are completed under the supervision of a pharmacist. Expectation: Become proficient in pharmacy technical functions and the basic pharmacology and utilization of medications.The intern will work 12 hour/week in a 3-week rotating schedule. 3-4 Holidays shifts and every 3rd weekend are required.
Pharmacy Intern Level I is a training, learning position. Students of an accredited school of pharmacy are required to complete training hours that may be part of a paid internship. Pharmacy Intern Level I is the position associated with either a first year pharmacy student or a new employee to the practice area or site. Job Essentials Provides excellent service to patients, pharmacists, interns, technicians, and other healthcare professionals in the areas of responsibility.
