Job Title: Paralegal Position REMOTE

In this fully remote position, you will provide extensive support to the attorney, helping to drive successful outcomes for our clients. Your responsibilities will include drafting motions and briefs, preparing litigation materials, managing e-filing and paper filings with courts, and indexing emails to ensure the attorney has the necessary resources at hand.
While the role is primarily remote, there will be occasional in-office meetings and opportunities for notary services, fostering collaboration and connection.

Key Requirements for the position:
· Excellent Communication and Organization Skills.
· Electronic filing in both State and Federal Courts.
· Detailed and comprehensive Drafting of Petitions/Complaints, Motions, Briefs, and Memorandum.
. Detailed and comprehensive Drafting of Responses and Replies to Motions.
. Researching property records and property value.
. Drafting and preparing demands and offers of settlement and compromise.
. Case Law Research
· Ordering and ensuring service is perfected on adverse party(ies).
· Reviewing Original Answer and notifying attorney(ies) if Special Exceptions are needed.
· Communicate with assigned case manager for updated status of client’s medical treatment.
· Order billing and medical records.
· Maintain medical chart.
· Prepare medical summaries.
· Communicate with Clients and Court Personnel.
· Communicate with and provide all pertinent documents to retained experts.
· Preparation of discovery requests to be served on adverse party(ies).
· Preparation of discovery responses with appropriate objections.
· Prepare and maintain production logs.
· Coordinate and schedule depositions.
· Assist attorney in preparing client/deponent for depositions.
· Trial preparation (creating a trial notebook, preparing exhibits, jury charge)
Writing Sample
Required Writing Sample: 1 Brief, Motion, or Case Memorandum
Qualifications
Paralegal: 2 years (Required)
Notary Public License (Required)
High school or equivalent (Required)
Bachelor’s Degree (Preferred)
Fluent in Spanish and English (Preferred)
Experience using case management software (i.e. Mycase, Practice Panther, Clio)
Personal injury law: 2 years (Preferred)
Civil Litigation: 2 years (Required)
Real Estate Litigation: 2 years (Preferred)
Microsoft Suite: Expert
Adobe: Proficient
LexisNexis or WestLaw: Proficient
