Join our robust in-house IT team as an Oracle Database Administrator to design, develop and maintain Database solutions for North America’s top distributor of shipping, industrial and packaging materials!
Better together! This position is on-site in Pleasant Prairie, WI or Waukegan, IL based on need, and we are looking for people who share our passion.
Position Responsibilities
Design complex databases, tables, stored procedures, views, triggers and other database objects as well as Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) solutions.
Work closely with application development project teams to ensure optimal application performance.
Proactively monitor database performance, optimizing through techniques including indexing, query optimization and database design.
Provide day to day support for databases and database applications ensuring they are backed up properly, and recovery procedures are tested and documented.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
5+ years in Database Management or Data Integration.
Proficient in the Oracle Database Management System.
Familiar with Oracle tools RMAN, OEM, RAC, ASM, and replication technologies such as DataGuard and GoldenGate.
Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
