NYU Langone Health Affiliated Bellevue Hospital Psychiatry Service is seeking board certified/eligible Psychiatrists for various positions, including: Psychiatrist – Inpatient Psychiatry – Full-Time Days (M-F) Psychiatrist – Inpatient Psychiatry – Full Time Overnights (Nocturalist) Psychiatrist – Primary Care Safety Net – Part-Time Days (3 Weekdays Per Week) Psychiatrist – Outpatient Addictions – Full-Time Days (M-F) Psychiatrist – World Trade Center Environmental Health – Full-Time Days (M-F) Psychiatrist – Bridge to Home Program – Full-Time Days (M-F) Qualified MDs are eligible for faculty appointments at a suitable rank with the NYU Grossman School of Medicine. The NYU Bellevue Psychiatry Service is an integral part of New York City’s Health and Hospitals System, the nation’s largest municipal health care system, with a longstanding commitment to excellence and innovation in Public Psychiatry. It is the primary psychiatry and addictions training site for NYU medical students, psychiatry residents, fellows and psychology interns, and serves as a site for groundbreaking multidisciplinary clinical research. Our psychiatric services provide compassionate, culturally sensitive care to patients with a range of diagnoses and psychosocial complexities. Access is available to a complete range of medical and specialty consultation services. Chinese and/or Spanish speaking clinicians are especially sought. There are opportunities for teaching and supervision of trainees, and psychiatrists are part of the faculty at NYU Grossman School of Medicine. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 9AM-5PM, with no required overnight or weekend call. Part Time Attending Psychiatrist - Bellevue Primary Care Safety Net Clinic (3 Days Per Week) The Primary Care Safety Net Clinic is an integral part of New York City Health + Hospitals ambulatory care service. The mission of the clinic is to effectively engage people experiencing homelessness who also have complex care needs. In addition to this, the clinic aims to provide trauma-informed care focused on patient-oriented care goals while addressing substance use, mental health, housing progression, and comorbid medical conditions. The Safety Net psychiatrist provides clinical care and supports an interdisciplinary care team model in a setting that includes primary care, social work, care coordinators, and nursing. Full Time Attending Psychiatrist – World Trade Center Environmental Health Center (WTCEHC) The WTC Environmental Health Center is a clinic serving survivors of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. This vibrant, fully integrated medical and mental health clinic provides patients with treatment and annual monitoring for WTC-related to exposure to the disaster under the auspices of the World Trade Center Health Program, federally funded under the James Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act of 2010; 2015. The Clinical Psychiatrist conducts mental health diagnostic evaluations of WTCEHC patients who screen positive for mental health symptoms and indicated interest in mental health certification and/or treatment. This individual will provide psychiatric treatment for WTCEHC patients (caseload approx. 250 patients) for certified conditions, including primarily medication management, as well as individual or group therapy when appropriate. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 9AM-5PM, with no required overnight or weekend call. Full Time Attending Psychiatrist – Bellevue Addictions Addictions Psychiatrist to work as a staff attending in a hospital-based addiction clinic. This position is a service-centered, integral part of an interdisciplinary treatment team that includes addiction counselors (SW’s and CASAC), community health workers, a psychologist and an addiction-medicine trained primary provider. The psychiatrist is expected to provide care to patients with a range of substance use disorders, including alcohol, opioid, stimulant and cannabis use disorders; as well as managing comorbid psychiatric pathology. Additionally, based on interest and need, the clinician may cover the addiction clinic’s outpatient withdrawal services. There are in-service opportunities to teach staff members about addiction and psychiatric care. Furthermore, the clinic has an affiliation with NYU Medical School and there will be opportunities for the candidate to teach medical students, psychiatry residents and addiction psychiatry fellows. Full Time Attending Psychiatrist – Bridge to Home (BTH) BTH is an innovative NYC Health + Hospitals program that supports individuals with serious mental illness as they transition from inpatient care to stable housing. The psychiatrist will provide clinical care and serve as a key member of the facility’s leadership team. The psychiatrist, working in close partnership with social work leadership, holds primary clinical responsibility for psychiatric care and provides clinical oversight to nursing staff at the BTH residence. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact at the intersection of healthcare and housing while gaining valuable experience in clinical leadership and program development. Full Time Nocturnist – Bellevue After Hours The nocturnist psychiatrist on the inpatient service is responsible for after-hours coverage of assigned units and services in accordance with departmental and hospital standards of care. They work closely with other members of the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high-quality care of all assigned patients. Presence in the hospital for three to four overnight shifts per week is required with an opportunity to participate in additionally compensated coverage outside the salaried hours. #J-18808-Ljbffr American Psychiatric Association
