Valid Nurse Practitioner (NP) certification/license. Minimum of 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience. Valid American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) certification. Valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (ARC BLS) certification. Job Specific Position Duties: Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following: Provide a comprehensive range of Physician Extender services in accordance with granted privileges (e.g., supervise, screen, provide medical care and examinations for routine, acute, and chronic conditions across all organ systems, immunizations, diagnosis, treatment, and counseling). Technically direct and educate other staff, including delivering evidence-based educational lectures and participating in in-service training. Diagnose and treat patients with common acute conditions, chronic illnesses, or minor trauma within established protocols, clinical practice guidelines, Nurse Practice Acts, and in consultation with a physician. Promote preventive care, health maintenance, positive health behaviors, and self-care through formal and individual education and counseling. Communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse group of individuals to inform the healthcare team, provide patient and family education, and contribute to organizational goals. Recognize conditions requiring isolation and ensure universal precautions are followed in all patient encounters. Attend staff meetings for case discussions, continuing education, quality improvement, and safety. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) Degree. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience within the past 3 years. Licensure: Current, full, active, and unrestricted NP license from any state. Clinical Certification: Must hold ANCC or AANP certification, as applicable. Life Support Certification: Maintain current AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certifications.
