Level 1 Trauma center with twenty-four OR rooms are used to perform the following types of surgeries: Orthopedic, Urologic, Gynecological, General, Neurological/Spine, ENT, Hepatobiliary, Plastic Reconstructive and Cosmetic, Podiatry, GYN Oncology, Thoracic, Cardiovascular, Vascular, Bariatric, Hand Reconstruction, and Robotic (General, GYN, Colorectal, Urology, CV/CT, Ortho, and Bariatric)

Surgical Center of Excellence in Hernia, Robotic, Colorectal, Minimally Invasive GYN and Minimally Invasive Surgery.

Braselton OR

Seven operating rooms are utilized for the following types of inpatient and outpatient surgeries: General, Gynecology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics, Plastics, Robotic, Urology, Podiatry, and Vascular.

Braselton Surgery Center is a state-of-the-art ambulatory surgery center offering new surgical options to patients in our community. Our expert surgeons cover a variety of specialties and offer same-day procedures so patients can return home to heal more quickly.

The facility provides services in the following specialties: Orthopedics, General, Urology, Podiatry, and Gastroenterology.

Small hospital of the Year 2023- Recognized for impact on patients and community. We have three operating rooms providing exceptional care to the community for the following types of inpatient and outpatient surgeries: ENT, General, Gynecological, Orthopedics, Plastics, Urological, Podiatry, and Ophthalmologic.

Habersham OR

Five operating rooms serving the Habersham community. Service lines provided: inpatient and outpatient surgeries: General, Gynecology, Orthopedics, Podiatry and ENT.

Lumpkin OR

We have three operating rooms and a procedural suite providing exceptional care to the North Georgia community for the following types of procedures/surgeries: Endoscopy, General, Gynecological, Podiatry and Orthopedics.

About the Role:

Job Summary

The Nurse Manager (NM) functions as the first-line administrative nursing leader, with 24-hour accountability for care delivery including budget of a nursing unit(s). The Nurse Manager must be able to navigate proficiently within the EHR. He/She must be able to clinically assist with patient care and be able to function in the charge role if indicated. The Nurse Manager coordinates, elevates and resolves problems and conflicts as they occur. With support from Charge Nurses and Educators, the Nurse Manager directly supervises the clinical nursing and ancillary nursing personnel assigned to a unit or care delivery site. He/she ensures the effective daily operation of the nursing unit on 24-7 basis by monitoring all activities necessary to provide consistent high quality patient care, including staffing, equipment, supplies and services. In this role , the Nurse Manager will coordinate the activities of nursing staff, is accountable for the effective and efficient operation of the unit and staff including stat orders, treatments, plans of care, and clinical pathways are being carried out in a consistent manner. The Nurse Manager has knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations that govern nursing practice and must exercise sound, independent judgment in adapting and applying leadership and clinical principles to specific situations. The Nurse Manager relies on experience, judgment and collaboration to plan and accomplish goals. The NM assists in the advancement of the professional practice environment by communicating the NGHS nursing strategic direction and focusing on activities that support the nursing strategic direction.

Provides nursing involvement support for VOICE and the NDNQI quality teams including coaching team members in their professional participation. Assists with overall clinical governance and other projects as assigned.

Minimum Job Qualifications

• Licensure or other certifications: Licensed to practice as an RN in Georgia. Required: Professional certification in either a clinical or leadership specialty within two (2) years of hire.
• Educational Requirements: A degree in Nursing (either BSN or MSN).
• Minimum Experience: Three (3) to five (5) years as a RN, preferably in an acute care setting. One (1) year direct supervision of healthcare delivery if in combination with leadership experience outside of nursing (i.e. second career).
• Other: Professional organization membership within one month of hire into the role.

Preferred Job Qualifications

• Preferred Licensure or other certifications:
• Preferred Educational Requirements: Masters Degree (Nursing or other if possessing a BSN) within five (5) years of hire.
• Preferred Experience: Two (2) years nursing leadership experience.
