Job Summary As a Motion Designer/Video Editor in the Creative Services team, you will play a crucial role in producing engaging and high-quality motion graphics and video content that aligns with SHI’s brand and marketing objectives. Your creative expertise and technical skills will contribute to showcasing our products, services, and corporate culture to both internal and external audiences. This position is required to report to either the SHI Somerset, NJ office location or SHI Austin, TX office location as determined by SHI management. Responsibilities Include, but not limited to: Conceptualize, plan, and execute motion graphics projects, including corporate promotional videos, product demos, event coverage, explainer videos, and social media content. Collaborate with Video Team members and project stakeholders to understand project requirements and ensure the motion graphics content reflects SHI’s brand voice and consistent production quality. Contribute to all aspects of motion graphics production, including design, animation, and post-production editing. Design, maintain, and organize graphic assets, ensuring brand consistency and ease of sharing. Stay up-to-date with the latest motion graphics trends, techniques, and technology to enhance the quality of our content. Manage and prioritize multiple motion graphics projects, ensuring timely delivery and meeting project deadlines. Collaborate with the Manager of Video and Head of Creative to align motion graphics content with overall marketing strategies and campaigns. Contribute innovative ideas and creative solutions to enhance the visual storytelling of our brand through motion graphics content. Travel to different locations, as needed, for events or client sites for on-site video shooting. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Motion Graphics, Animation, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) 5+ years of professional experience in motion graphics, animation or a related field showcasing a portfolio of dynamic and high-quality animations, explainer videos, promotional campaigns and social media Required Skills Proven experience as a motion designer and video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your motion graphics and editing skills. Ability to translate complex concepts into visually appealing and easy-to-understand motion graphics. Experience with data visualization and infographics to present business data in a compelling way. Proficiency in motion graphics software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Cinema 4D) and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro). Solid understanding of typography, color palettes, and design principles. Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with diverse teams and stakeholders. Familiarity with marketing and branding concepts to align motion graphics content with SHI’s messaging and brand. Willingness to adapt to evolving trends and techniques in motion graphics and video production. Ability to work independently and take creative initiatives while also being receptive to feedback and direction from others. A passion for storytelling through motion graphics and a keen eye for detail. Additional Information The estimated annual pay range for this position is $70,000 - $95,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
