Mortgage Loan Closer Responsibilities & Duties

1. Review loan files to ensure completeness and accuracy of closing documents.
2. Coordinate closing schedules with borrowers, lenders, title companies, and attorneys.
3. Prepare and audit closing instructions and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
4. Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues within closing documents.
5. Calculate final closing costs and ensure accurate and timely disbursement of funds.
6. Ensure all closing documents meet state and federal regulations.
7. Obtain and review title insurance policies.
8. Prepare final loan documents for borrower signatures.
9. Ensure all post-closing documents are filed and stored correctly.
10. Communicate effectively with all parties to provide updates and respond to inquiries.

Mortgage Loan Closer Qualifications & Skills

1. Experience with mortgage loan processing software and systems.
2. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to handle high volumes of work accurately and efficiently.
5. Previous experience in a similar role within the mortgage industry.
6. High school diploma or equivalent.
7. Minimum of 2 years experience in mortgage closing or a related field.
8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
9. Understanding of mortgage loan documentation and compliance requirements.
10. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
11. Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.
12. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

This is a contract to hire position, targeting 30 hours/week
