We are currently seeking an experienced Metals Permanent Mold Design Engineer / New Product Launch Engineer to join our team on a 6 - 12 month basis (potential for contract-to-hire). This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-tech environment where innovation is not only encouraged but expected. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and launching new products in the permanent mold casting sector. If you are passionate about the metals industry, have a strong technical background in process setup, permanent mold design, and are excited about the prospect of leading new product initiatives from concept to launch, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement new product launch strategies in the permanent mold casting sector.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and quality to ensure successful product launch.
- Utilize your expertise in process setup, tool and die, and aluminum to optimize product design and manufacturing processes.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new product designs.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and problem resolution during the product launch process.
- Monitor and report on new product launch performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and advancements in permanent mold casting and new product launch methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the metals manufacturing industry, with a focus on new product design.
- Proven track record of successful new product launches in the permanent mold casting sector.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex manufacturing issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to a variety of audiences.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to permanent mold casting.
- Self-motivated and results-driven, with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.
