Summary
The MacDuffie School is accepting applications for the position of Skilled Maintainer. Successful applicants will have a background in building maintenance and general handyman services, with preference given to applicants experienced and/or licensed in one or more trades (HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, etc.) Preference given to candidates with experience with commercial-scale HVAC including steam heating plants.
The successful candidate will be provided all necessary personal protective equipment and tools. Duties include general maintenance, groundskeeping and repair work on our campus of 240+ acres with more than 100k sf of occupied floor space (including classrooms, dormitories, commercial kitchens, science laboratories and office space).
Applicants must have reliable transportation to campus, be able to lift up to 50lbs, and have a good disposition. The position reports to the Director of Facilities and Maintenance and works closely with the Cleaning Services Manager and housekeeping staff as well as our dining services provider.
Prior experience at a college, boarding school, or large apartment complex preferred but not required.
