Loss Prevention Investigator (Public Safety Department)

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

The Public Safety Department at Six Flags Fiesta Texas is seeking to hire a Loss Prevention Investigator. As an Investigator you will be responsible for protecting the park against the loss of assets and when losses do occur, investigating and interviewing the individuals responsible. All aspects of the position require a high level of integrity and confidentiality while maintaining a safe and secure environment, ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to. 

HOW YOU WILL DO IT:

• Conduct Pre-Employment Background interviews in accordance with Corporate Loss Prevention guidelines.
• Review over/short database, analyze data, conduct financial audits through SF systems, and prepares audit paperwork to document conclusions on cashiers over/short issues.
• Conduct procedural audits in all departments to verify compliance with Corporate and Park Operating Procedures.
• Responsible for fixed and mobile surveillance efforts, as needed, to include CCTV installation and maintenance.
• Analyze investigative data for witness and offender interviews and documentation.
• Conduct interviews with employees who have unexplained variances and/or are involved in violations of policy.
• Conduct shoplifting surveillance and shoplifter detention.
• Asset protection and inventory control.
• Conduct sting operations, electronic surveillance and preventative theft.
• Investigate credit card fraud, bad checks and counterfeit currency.

WHAT YOU NEED:

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED; some college credit desired.
• At least 1 year of Security experience preferred. 
• Some Loss Prevention experience desired.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Must be detail oriented and highly motivated.
• Willing and capable of working in a fast-paced environment with direct guest interaction.
• Requires excellent organizational, communication, computer and problem solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects and meet critical deadlines in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, holidays and weekends.
• Ability to work a minimum of 30+ hours per week on a year- long basis. 
• Must be able to sit stand, walk, stoop, bend, and reach on a regular basis and for extended periods of time.
• Able to pass a thorough background screening, including criminal background and credit history checks.
• A valid State Driver’s License with the ability to obtain a Park Driver’s License upon eligibility.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• May perform other duties beyond scope of above as necessary to support the park as a whole
• Reports to the Public Safety Department Leadership
