A large children's hospital is seeking a pediatric critical care physician assistant for locum tenens coverage.
Iowa City, Iowa, has plenty of enjoyable activities to offer. You can take a leisurely walk around the picturesque University of Iowa campus, visit the engaging Museum of Natural History, or explore the downtown Pedestrian Mall which is perfect for shopping, dining, and enjoying live music!
This is for a combined unit. The current locum will only provide staffing assistance in the PCICU.
Dates Needed: Ongoing Coverage
Case Load/PPD: 7-14
Shift Type: Day Shift; Night Shift
Assignment Type: Inpatient
Assignment Duration: Locums
Shift Times: 7a-7p, 7p-7a
Procedures Required: arterial puncture/line insertion; central venous line insertion; endotracheal intubation
Certifications Required: CPNP-AC; PALS; BLS
Call Required: No
Board Certification Required: Negotiable
Prescriptive Authority Required: Yes
Patient Population: Children
Support Staff: Permanent staff--1 APP + 1 fellow physician + 1 intensivist 24/7; when staffing allows a 2nd APP will be staffed on day shifts.
