Job Description

Our client is seeking a dedicated Legal Billing Manager to join their Office Accounting team. This pivotal position involves leveraging knowledge of billing procedures and policies to support their Finance Committee objectives. In this role, you will coordinate with the Global Billing team to implement best practices, procedures and new software upgrades. The role may offer a flexible working schedule, allowing for hybrid and in-office presence.

Legal Billing Manager Responsibilities:

• Provide guidance to attorneys, paralegals and staff regarding billing and alternative fee arrangements
• Liaise with local Finance Committee members, facilitating meetings and actionable next steps
• Review and enhance billing-related procedures for efficiency and resource utilization
• Manage billing completion percentages and ensure timely billing of inventory
• Communicate with clients to resolve special billing, payment and collection issues
• Safeguard sensitive and confidential financial information

Legal Billing Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
• 10+ years of accounting experience, including 4 years in law firm billing processes
• 4+ years of supervisory experience in a law firm environment
• Strong understanding of billing systems and well-developed interpersonal skills
