Job Description

Beacon Hill Legal is seeking a skilled Legal Assistant with a strong background in general civil litigation and a focus on construction law. Experience with civil litigation is required, construction law is highly preferred. This opportunity is full time, direct hire, and fully on-site in Downtown Dallas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys handling construction-related litigation matters
• Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings
• Manage case files, including electronic filing with county and state courts
• Coordinate and schedule meetings, depositions, and court appearances
• Assist with legal billing using Aderant or similar software
• Maintain and organize discovery materials and case documentation
• Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and other legal professionals

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal assistant role, preferably in a business litigation or construction law setting
• Strong understanding of county and state court systems and litigation procedures
• Familiarity with document management systems and e-filing platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Experience with legal billing software , preferably Aderant
• Superior proofreading and attention to detail
• Background in construction law or litigation involving construction disputes, preferred
