Full Job Description
Tongass Enterprises LLC is seeking a skilled Licensed Electrician to manage and execute assigned electrical projects efficiently and safely. This role is crucial for maintaining high standards in residential and commercial electrical installations, aligning with the National Electrical Codes and ensuring project completion with precision.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Oversee and perform electrical installations and repairs, ensuring compliance with codes.
- Lead and mentor apprentices, ensuring quality work and effective learning.
- Maintain clean and organized job sites.
- Inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems and equipment.
- Manage tools and vehicles necessary for various projects.
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients.
The ideal candidate should possess: - Valid State of Alaska electrician's license (or ability to obtain one).
- Minimum of one year residential wiring experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, building construction, and maintenance.
- Physical ability to handle demanding tasks including lifting over 50 lbs and climbing.
- Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
- Must pass a background check and possess necessary hand tools.
- Candidate must live in USA preferably in Alaska; Tongass is willing to pay for airfare and relocation fees for qualifies candidates
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Most job duties are performed in the field (project sites including a customer's home and/or building construction sites).
- Fieldwork at various project sites, including homes and construction sites.
- Exposure to physical activities like bending, climbing, and kneeling.
- Requires working in varying weather conditions and potentially hazardous environments.
- Responsible for the safety and training of apprentices.
