The Role

The Main Responsibilities

Lumen’s Enterprise Operations organization is looking for a Data Analyst – Insights and Intelligence intern on our Access Delivery team. The intern will support our team in enhancing service delivery through data-driven decision-making. Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Data Analysis and Insights: Assist in analyzing large datasets to uncover trends and patterns. Learn to use analytical tools and techniques to interpret data and provide recommendations.
• Targeted Analysis: Support the team in performing precise analysis to identify specific issues and opportunities within our service delivery processes.
• Actionable WIP: Help translate data insights into actionable work-in-progress (WIP) items. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement these actions and monitor their impact.
• Service Delivery Improvement: Participate in assessing and improving service delivery processes by leveraging data intelligence. Contribute to strategies aimed at enhancing efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Reporting and Visualization: Assist in creating reports and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders. Ensure that data insights are easily understandable and actionable.
• Collaboration: Work closely with various departments, including operations, IT, and customer service, to support data-driven decisions in daily operations.
• Learning and Development: Stay updated with the latest trends in data analytics and intelligence. Continuously seek opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in this field.

What We Look For in a Candidate

Program eligibility is contingent on the candidate’s commitment of the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made.

Required qualifications

• Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior or graduate level education status at the start of the internship
• Graduating August 2025 – May 2027
• Preferred fields include bur not limited to: –Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems or Statistics.
• Intern must be able to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week program (May 30 – August 8, 2025)

Proficiency and understanding of:

• MS Office Suite – Excel heavy
• Data Report and Dashboard like PowerBI
• Data Management experience
• Data Query experience is nice to have

Preferred qualifications

• Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze and interpret data to provide actionable insights
• Experience with statistical analysis and data visualization tools is a plus.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning and development.
• Ability to translate technical information into non-technical terms
• Driven by curiosity in problem solving and willing to challenge the norm
• Strong problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve issues related to data
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
• Strong organization skills
• Ability to multitask while working in fast paced environment
• Comfortability interacting and presenting to leadership

Compensation

Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual’s level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role.

Hourly Based Pay Range:

Min: $26.00/hour
Max: $43.00/hour

What to Expect Next

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
