Lumen’s Finance organization is looking for a Business Process Analyst Intern on our Connected Digital Strategy team. The intern will be responsible for learning and developing skills in mapping business processes, identifying constraints and issues, and developing effective solutions. This role requires strong problem-solving skills and the ability to interface with business partners to understand process flows and drive process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
-Map and analyze business processes to identify constraints and issues.
-Develop and propose solutions to improve process efficiency.
-Collaborate with business partners to understand and document process flows.
-Learn and support business system production and monitoring.
-Engage in technical writing of capabilities, features, & user stories to ensure solutions are properly documented and handed off for development
-Business Value identification & calculation
Program eligibility is contingent on the candidate’s commitment of the entire 10-week program. No exceptions will be made.
• Required qualifications
o Enrolled at a 4-year accredited college or university, rising senior or masters level education status at the start of the internship
o Graduating August 2025 – May 2027
o Preferred fields include but not limited to: Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, or MIS.
o Intern must be able to work 40 hours per week during the 10-week program (May 30 – August 8, 2025)
• Proficiency and understanding of:
o MS Office Suite like Excel and Word
o Data Analytics
o Project Tools including Microsoft Visio
• Preferred qualifications
o Strong written and verbal communication skills
o Curious learner and researcher mindset
o Enjoys collaboration and works well in team environment
o Comfortability interacting with different levels of leadership and presenting solutions
o Unafraid to ask questions to find solutions
o Thinks outside the box to challenge the norm
o Analytical mindset
o Ability to multitask while working in fast paced environment
o Co-Pilot experience is a plus
o Salesforce knowledge and exposure is a plus
Internship compensation ranges depend on each individual’s level of education, geographic location, and experience/qualifications aligned to the role.
Hourly Based Pay Range:
Min: $22.00/hour
Max: $36.00/hour
