Job Title: Interior Designer Pay Range: $80,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on experience Location: San Jose , CA Job Overview De Mattei Construction Inc. is seeking a talented and passionate Interior Design Assistant to support our Lead Interior Designer in creating stunning, custom residential projects. In this role, you will collaborate with an exceptional team to develop comprehensive interior finish packages and ensure every detail aligns with our high standards of craftsmanship and quality. Key Responsibilities As an Interior Design Assistant, you will: Document client programming data to understand project goals. Source preliminary finishes and fixtures from established and new vendors. Create concept presentations for client review and approval. Coordinate with suppliers to determine pricing, availability, and secure samples and bids. Produce interior construction drawings, including plans, elevations, and details under the direction of the Lead Interior Designer or Project Manager. Generate 3D renderings to visualize design concepts. Adhere to company and client drafting procedures. Collaborate with team members and project managers to ensure timely information sharing and problem resolution. Deliver quality work within tight schedules and budget constraints. Revise and update project documents, mock-ups, and drawings as needed. Utilize and maintain project documentation in Procore. Qualifications The ideal candidate will bring: An associate degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field. A passion for learning and teamwork in a collaborative environment. Proven ability to work independently and deliver solutions aligned with project objectives. Proficiency in CAD drafting. Preferred familiarity with software such as ARCHICAD, Vectorworks, AutoCAD, REVIT, or Chief Architect. Experience with 3D modeling/rendering. Proficiency with Procore construction management software. Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, OneNote). Exceptional time management and attention to detail.
