Job Description

Eastman Kodak is looking for an Import Specialist to join our International Trade & Compliance team in Rochester, New York.

This is a hybrid role, with onsite work required in Rochester NY.

In this role, you will monitor foreign shipments inbound to the United States and coordinate the clearance of all US import shipments through US Customs and Border Protection. Help support the overall administrative and compliance activities of the Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ) program with multiple U.S zones.

Responsibilities:

• Arrival Coordination: Monitor inbox for incoming shipments, prepare import packet documentation and obtain any missing information from carriers
• Enter Importer Security Filing data into import system and file with US Customs and Border Protection; monitor responses and escalate as required
• Clear all US import shipments: Input shipment information into import system, transmit entry data to US Customs, monitor customs responses and provide clearance documents to carriers. Properly file import entry packages for record retention
• Participate in Morning Markets: Provide data, status comments, and suggest process opportunities
• Assist in the identification and correction of common root causes for Import shipment clearance delays

Desired Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent required. College degree is preferred.
• Multi-tasking, prioritization, and organizational skills required.
• Excellent problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to communicate with internal and external teams via email.
• Professional import experience in a logistics environment preferred.
