Job Description: Hydraulic Mechanic

Company: BJ CAAS Advisors (Direct-Hire with our client)

Location: Janesville, Wisconsin

Pay : $27-$37

Position Summary:

As a Hydraulic Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of hydraulic systems and components. You will work closely with other maintenance technicians and engineers to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of our equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose hydraulic system malfunctions using various diagnostic tools and techniques, including electrical/hydraulic problems.
• Repair and replace hydraulic components, including pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses, and fittings.
• Perform preventive maintenance on hydraulic systems to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hydraulic system leaks and pressure issues.
• Install and test new hydraulic systems and components.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Assist with hydraulic system design and modification projects as needed.

Qualifications:

• Technical or vocational training in hydraulics or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a hydraulic mechanic.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic schematics and blueprints.
• Knowledge of hydraulic system troubleshooting and repair techniques.
• Experience with hydraulic testing equipment and tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in hydraulics or a related field.
• Experience with hydraulic systems used in manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of hydraulic system design and analysis.
