Position Summary: - The Host is responsible for greeting guests, confirming reservations, and seating all patrons of the restaurant.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Welcome guests to the restaurant
- Manage reservations
- Escort customers to assigned dining or bar areas
- Provide menus and announce Waiter/Waitress's name
- Greet customers upon their departure
- Coordinate with wait staff about available seating options
- Maintain a clean reception area
- Cater to guests who require extra attention (children, elderly, etc.)
- Assist wait staff as needed
- Perform other duties as appropriate
Qualifications: - Understand restaurant etiquette
- Ability to manage reservations
- Demonstrable customer-service skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to monitor the dining and bar areas
- Good physical condition to walk and stand during an entire shift
- Read and write (English)
- Give and/or follow verbal and written instructions
- Visually inspect all work areas
- Stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, bend and kneel for up to 5 hours at a time
- Lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, 30 lbs. frequently, and 10 lbs. constantly
- Minimum availability to work is 3 full 8-hour shifts, MUST include either Saturday or Sunday
Working Conditions: - Work hours may include weekdays, weekends, days, and evenings. Work involves indoor and outdoor settings in a restaurant/lounge and on-course environment. Exposure to hot surfaces, sharp utensils, rapid moving equipment, potentially harmful chemicals, solvents, pesticides, herbicides, stray golf balls, and adverse weather conditions is common. Safety compliance is essential to prevent injuries from environmental conditions and equipment hazards.
