Are you a kind and caring individual who enjoys spending time with seniors and brightening their days? We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate companion to enrich the lives of an elderly couple in our community. If you have a genuine interest in providing companionship, assistance, and support, this might be the perfect opportunity for you!

Responsibilities:

• Light household tasks include meal preparation and running errands.
• Dishwashing the client's dishes and utensils.
• Dusting and vacuuming the rooms used by the client.
• Tidying and wet mopping the kitchen and bathroom to ensure a clean and sanitary area.
• Disposing of the client's garbage at the end of each shift
• Toileting activities
• Personal grooming
• Participate in activities that the client enjoys.
• Engage in meaningful conversations and provide emotional support
• Accompany the client on outings, walks, or to medical appointments as needed.
• Personal assistance such as but not limited to taking notes, making copies/scans, and assisting with phone calls, emails, etc.
• Be attentive to the client's needs, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
• Performing fingerstick and glucometer readings

Requirements:

• Demonstrated empathy and understanding for the elderly population.
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Patience and the ability to handle various challenges that may arise.
• Flexibility to adapt to the couple's schedule and preferences.
• Physical capability to assist with light tasks and mobility support.
• Reliable and trustworthy with a clear background check.
• Previous experience as a companion or caregiver
• Criminal Background Check and References
