HEAVY VEHICLE MECHANIC

Role Overview

We are seeking a Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to work on a fleet of de-icing trucks, service vehicles, and other machinery/equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience with hydraulics, electrical schematics, and troubleshooting equipment problems. Experience with Volvo chassis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and maintenance on de-icing trucks, service vehicles, and other machinery/equipment.
• Execute preventative maintenance programs on the fleet and service vehicles.
• Inspect, diagnose, overhaul, adjust, and repair gas and diesel-powered trucks and equipment.
• Perform general overhaul, installation, repair, and replacement of vehicle parts, including bearings, transmissions, radiators, and suspension systems.
• Maintain records, including vehicle identification, mileage, and details of inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Complete necessary documents, reports, and purchase orders as required.

Essential Skills

• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronics, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience with Freightliner, Mercedes, and/or Volvo equipment is a plus.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Position Requirements

• Ability to pass an airport security background check and mandatory drug screen.
• Ability to meet all physical requirements necessary to perform job duties.

Compensation

$30.00 - $40.00
