Head of Conferences & Events - Lead and Innovate in a Dynamic Environment!

Location: New York, NY (or Remote )

Salary: $200,000 - $300,000 base (negotiable) + Performance-Based Bonuses

Schedule: Full-Time, with up to 20% travel (domestic and international)

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the strategic vision for the Events Practice, focusing on financial accountability, revenue generation, and profitability.
  • Lead the planning and execution of year-round events, ensuring flawless execution and consistent P&L performance.
  • Develop and implement long-term growth strategies that align with our client's broader business objectives.
  • Mentor and manage a team of 25+ professionals, fostering a results-driven culture that prioritizes client satisfaction and operational excellence.
  • Engage with new and existing partners and sponsors, driving high satisfaction and re-booking opportunities.
  • Oversee P&L management, budget development, and resource allocation, ensuring financial targets are met or exceeded.
Qualifications:
  • Leadership Expertise: 15+ years of leadership experience overseeing large-scale events, with direct experience in business development, event management, and marketing.
  • Proven Sales Performance: Demonstrated success in driving substantial revenue growth through strategic sales initiatives.
  • Team Building & Communication: Experience in building and leading high-performing teams with a collaborative approach.
  • Financial Acumen: Strong experience in P&L management, budget development, and financial reporting.
  • Event Technology Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of event technologies and platforms.
  • Contract Negotiation: Expertise in negotiating and managing contracts with sponsors, partners, and vendors.
  • Strategic Presentation Skills: Ability to deliver impactful sales presentations to senior executives and C-Suite leadership.
