Bombshell Salon is looking for a friendly and organized receptionist to join our team! Our salon has been open for over 10 years in downtown Birmingham. We're a small salon with a relaxing and clean environment and a loyal community of clients. Ideally this role will have a fun, outgoing personality with excellent customer service and communication skills, since this will be our first point of contact with clients who visit or call the salon. To be successful in this role, you should be highly organized and able to manage clients with grace, even during peak busy hours.

Schedule:

Part time, Tuesday through Friday, 18 hours a week

• Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 11am-3pm
• Wednesdays 11am-6pm

Responsibilities:

• Warmly greet clients, and notify stylists of their arrival
• Answer questions about services and book appointments via phone
• Process transactions (cash and credit card)
• Offer beverages and chat with clients that are waiting
• Maintain accurate client records with billing details and appointments
• Light general cleaning of the salon, including laundry, sweeping, and washing color bowls
• Enforce salon policies over the phone, such as our cancellation policy
• Stock color inventory weekly
• Assist with taking photos and video of clients and products for social media content

Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with office equipment, like printers and POS systems
• Familiarity with processing transactions
• Excellent communication abilities (verbal, phone and email) with a customer service attitude
• Solid organization, time management, and record-keeping skills
• An ability to remain calm under stressful circumstances
• Professional and trendy presentation
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Work experience as a Salon Receptionist, Front Desk Representative or similar role preferred
