Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position. - Administrative experience in an office setting.
- Skill in use of computer software (Microsoft Office - Word, Excel).
- Skill in oral, written, and interpersonal communication including business etiquette, telephone etiquette, and general office procedures.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work and job functions.
- Ability to complete work with established deadlines.
- Ability to proofread written material for accuracy and completeness of data.
- Ability to work in a setting that may include frequent interruptions.
- Ability to work/communicate with other departments on campus (Travel, Purchasing, Accounts Payable, OSP, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in a university setting.
- Accounting experience.
- Experience with SAP and Concur Travel.
- Bachelor's degree.
- A minimum of 2 years of administrative experience in an office setting.
Job Description Responsible for performing varied accounting and clerical work in support of assigned grant.
Job Duties - Monitor and reconcile accounts.
- Monitor and reconcile P-cards.
- Process hiring paperwork including PCRs
- Execute budget adjustments.
- Make purchases made through purchase orders, TSUS Marketplace and P-Cards.
- Check and process vendor payments and IDTs.
- Create new accounts and prepare accounts to be inactivated.
- Process revenue deposits.
- Process vendor contracts from hiring point to final payment.
- Process scholarships.
- Generate financial reports.
- Submit facilities requests through the ReadyRequest online system.
- Act as backup for Travel Administrative Assistant and process requests and reimbursements.
- Assist with preparations for events, such as food ordering, meeting room set-up and clean up, and packet preparation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
