Summary:

The GIS Analyst works as a member of the GIS team and researches, gathers, and analyzes GIS data in support of engineering projects, and produces a variety of high-quality maps, reports, and analyses. The position works under general supervision. This work involves collaborating with engineers, project managers, and other GIS professionals. This position may design, administer, and maintain spatial databases and configure Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and software. This job requires an intermediate competency in ESRI software, analytical thinking, a competency in statistics and analyzing numerical data, good communication skills, the ability to be self-motivated and to prioritize multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

• Works independently on routine, well understood work.
• Researches, compiles, and reviews spatial data from public and proprietary sources.
• Develops and maintains GIS workflows, databases, and map products.
• Performs geoprocessing and spatial analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or technical college in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) or related fields such as Geography, Planning, engineering technology, or computer science.
• 1-2 years of GIS experience as a GIS Technician or Analyst.
• Intermediate - ArcGIS Suite (Pro & Map).
• Possess good interpersonal skills, and effective written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Can work flexible schedules and overtime as required to support project requirements.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License.
