Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a talented GIS Analyst to join their team. This position involves utilizing your Geographic Information Systems (GIS) expertise to design, develop, and deliver web applications that facilitate spatial data management and analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Web Application Development:
Build and deploy web applications using ArcGIS API for JavaScript or similar mapping APIs. - GIS Analysis and Mapping:
Conduct advanced spatial analyses and create complex, multi-layered maps using ESRI GIS software, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Enterprise. - GIS Tools and Applications:
Design, develop, and maintain tools and applications to support spatial data workflows. - Communication:
Effectively translate technical information for non-technical stakeholders through both written and verbal communication. - Data Management and Scripting:
Perform data extraction, analysis, and scripting using tools like Python, Oracle SQL, or PostgreSQL. - Linear Referencing Systems:
Develop and maintain linear referencing systems (LRS) and GIS applications, including ESRI Roads & Highways or comparable systems. - Team Collaboration:
Work closely with colleagues to troubleshoot technical challenges and improve GIS-based solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science, or a related field with GIS expertise. - Experience:
- 4–8 years of GIS experience, including GIS application development.
- At least 5 years of experience in designing and building web applications.
- Technical Proficiency:
- Expertise with ESRI GIS software suite (ArcGIS Pro 2.x and higher).
- Strong Python scripting and problem-solving skills.
- Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with linear referencing systems (LRS) and ESRI Roads & Highways.
- Familiarity with reporting tools like Power BI.
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative GIS solutions independently.
Compensation and Benefits
- Pay Rate: $54–$57/hour ($112,320–$118,560 annually).
