About Domify

Domify is seeking an experienced Gen AI or LLM data scientist engineer help us build an enterprise AI platform in partnership with our clients, the founding engineering team, and the management team.

Domify tackles the complex world of compliance and regulations in financial services, starting with wealth management. We leverage public and private data sources, proprietary workflows and compliance manuals, and the latest in Gen AI advancements to bring the power of AI to legal, compliance and regulatory oversight.

This role is a key hire for us as we build out our platform in partnership with lead clients. You will effectively act as our lead AI researcher, LLM scientist and AI application developer.

Location: NYC in-office

We expect the successful candidate to work from Domify's mid-town office NYC 4 days a week. Telecommuting, short NYC stays or relocation are not in consideration at this time.

Salary

Up to $180,000 + plus substantial equity, based on experience.

What you will do (required skills):

• Design AI systems to solve complex workflows: designing new-to-market AI-powered workflows through creative applications of Generative AI
• Create orchestrations of LLM models, deploy agentic approaches, agentic RAG, fine-tune open source models, and create powerful and scalable deployment frameworks that respect our clients' data privacy and security
• Rapid Innovation: work on a weekly release cadence, run time-boxed experiments to try novel approaches to solving business problems not touched by Machine Learning or Automation
• Resarch : keeping abreast of latest developments in LLM fine-tuning, orchestration and testing

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of total experience
• 2+ years in Gen AI as an application developer or researcher
• Previous startup experience
• Learner's mindset, willing to try new approaches and fail fast
• Prior experience fine tuning LLMs, building RAGs, LLM orchestration, agentic workflows, addressing resourcing and performance issues, reasoning and observability
• Prior experience working with tools and frameworks like vector dbs, Langchain and Langraph
• Prior experience writing production grade code

Good to haves:

• Track record of working in enterprise FinTech, preferably in an AI / ML role
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (BSc/MSc)
• Hands-on experience with new product creation, ideally within startups.
• Domain expertise in financial services, wealth and investment management
