Job Description
Summary:
This position is primarily responsible for the assembly, delivery, installation, and reconfiguration of commercial furniture systems.
Essential Functions Include:
- Ensure proper assembly, delivery, and installation in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Load furniture into truck to prepare for delivery.
- Maintain clean and organized job site.
- Assist with warehouse/receiving functions as needed.
- Follow company safety guidelines.
Physical Demands:
While performing the functions of this job, the employee is frequently required to lift and/or move objects up to 75 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects in excess of 100 pounds. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear, stand for long periods of time, and perform general physical labor. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multi-limb coordination, as well as the use of various hand tools.
Expected Hours of Work:
Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Occasional overtime work in the early morning, evening, and weekends may be required as business needs demand.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED. At least one (1) year of relevant experience is preferred (but not required), especially in the commercial furniture industry.
***A VALID NYS DRIVER LICENSE (AND GOOD DRIVING RECORD) IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION***
