Overview:

 

Arsenal Cider House, leading Hard Cider/Mead producer in Pennsylvania, is looking for a candidate to fill the position of Full Charge Bookkeeper.

• Work directly with the company Treasurer
• Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks Online ensuring accurate and timely financial inputs
• Handle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes include invoices and deposits.
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial reports as needed
• Assist with bank reconciliations and expense statement reconciliations
• Compilation of inventory records and calculation of Cost of Goods Sold

  Payroll Administration

• Process payroll accurately through Quickbooks Online 
• Update and maintain employee payroll records
• Prepare Payroll Forms & Taxes

  Administrative Support

• Oversee general office operations, including filing and record-keeping
• Use Microsoft Excel and Word to create and maintain various documents and spreadsheets
• Coordinate travel arrangements for trade shows, conferences, and other business events

  Cross-Functional Coordination

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial and administrative processes
• Support the management team with ad hoc tasks and projects as required

Education and Work Requirements
· Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, OR proven work experience demonstrating strong knowledge and application of accounting principles

· Minimum of 5 years of relevant bookkeeping or accounting experience

· Demonstrated accounts payable and accounts receivable skills (tracking, processing, reconciliation)

· Strong knowledge and experience with QuickBooks Online (or a similar cloud-based accounting platform)

· Strong knowledge and experience with Quickbooks Payroll (or comparable payroll systems)

· Proficient in Microsoft Excel (for generating reports, tracking financial data, etc.) and Microsoft Word (for administrative documentation)

• Ability to work independently
• A solid understanding of accounting principles (e.g., GAAP basics, reconciliations, etc.)
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, are a must.
