Bluestem Brands is seeking Fulfillment Associates for our Eatonton, GA Distribution Center.
As a Fulfillment Associate, you are responsible for executing the logistics withing the Fulfillment Center.
FULFILLMENT ASSOCIATE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Responsible for separating, sorting, and processing specific merchandise.
- Utilize a warehouse management system to receive goods, process customer orders, or process returned merchandise.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure a safe and efficient workspace.
- Follow standard operating procedures to reflect department processes.
- Meet individual daily production metrics as assigned to support overall customer service level expectations.
- Perform responsibilities in multiple departments as assigned.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.
- Report any issues to supervisor in a timely manner.
- Engage in problem solving to support continuous improvement.
- Maintains positive and respectful attitude while working independently and in a team environment.
- Report to work as scheduled and complete job tasks as assigned accurately and on time.
- Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations and notifies supervisors of any issues or concerns.
- Contribute ideas on ways to improve and optimize warehouse procedures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS - High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
WORK ENVIRONMENT The workplace utilizes conveyors, material handling devices and other powered equipment to perform warehousing and distribution functions. For the sake of safety and efficiency, employees must be able to recognize and promptly react to changing conditions and follow company safe work practices. The building is not air conditioned, requiring flexibility to work under varying temperature conditions.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS The following physical demands are representative of those required to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:Ability to walk and remain standing for extended periods of time. Ability to reach above head to place or remove stock and to bend over to pick, sort and pack items. Ability to lift and carry clothing, bags, parcels and other items and push carts weighing up to 50 pounds. The position involves exposure to cotton, wool and synthetic fabrics and their related lint and dust, as well as packing materials and packing adhesives. Individuals unable to perform any of the foregoing physical requirements due to a disability should discuss their restrictions with the Human Resources generalist at the facility or with the company's Benefits Department to determine whether an accommodation may be possible.
