Job Title: Fleet Manager Salary:
$50-$70K annually Schedule:
Duties: - Develop a robust maintenance plan for all vehicles in the fleet based upon manufacturer recommendations while understanding how often the vehicles are in use and where they are in use with the goal of saving funds month over month/year over year
- Develop a systematic approach to communication of maintenance needed for each vehicle
- Analyze growth strategy and vehicle needs, recommend the best options
- Negotiate with manufacturers, vehicle dealers, certified vehicle conversion companies, etc... to get the best possible pricing and terms for purchases and/or leases.
- Negotiate with mechanic shops
- Negotiate bulk discounts on fuel, parts, maintenance, etc
- Develop and run a plan to dispose of old vehicles at the right time to maximize resale value while balancing maint costs
- Focus on developing the Executive Directors and their staff including Safety Managers and Operations Managers with an emphasis on Fleet management/Safety
