JOB SUMMARY:

\n

This position is a customer service-oriented Fire Sprinkler Inspector with a minimum of 5 years of experience with water-based fire protection systems. The ideal Inspector will be organized, professional, and a good communicator; and will provide accurate and detailed inspections reports with all proper documentation of NFPA deficiencies. This important position will also establish rapport and build positive relationships with our customers.

The position is located out of our Charlotte district office.

\n

 

\n

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

\n

Perform routine inspections, testing, maintenance, and services of fire sprinkler, standpipe, and fire pump systems in compliance with NFPA 25 with minimal supervision.

\n

Daily communications with Manager and/or Schedule Coordinator on inspection or project delays, requirements and general status of job.

\n

Conducts service calls and makes repairs assigned.

\n

Perform smaller repairs, upfits, and internal pipe inspections as directed.

\n

Responsible for following the safety protocols of the company.

\n

Responsible for the maintenance of assigned vehicle.

\n

Performs other tasks and duties as requested by management.

\n

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

\n

A minimum of 5 years of experience in inspections, testing, maintenance, and services of water-based systems.

\n

Must possess, or have the ability to obtain within 30 days of employment, a North Carolina Inspector license and both North and South Carolina backflow preventer certifications.

\n

Willing to coordinate between inspection deficiencies and service required to correct found deficiencies.

\n

Capability to present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction.

\n

Able to complete documentation and administrative duties as necessary; proficient in the use of personal computers and Microsoft Office tools, with experience in Service Trade and Inspect Point preferred.

\n

Demonstrated competency in verbal and written business communication skills.

\n

Possess a valid driver’s license and meet company driving requirements.

\n
