This position is for a licensed Event Security Guard to join the team at The Oncenter. The role involves maintaining a safe and secure environment for all team members and guests, enforcing security measures, deterring potential incidents, and responding promptly to any security concerns during regular operations or events. The position includes the possibility of working Concert/Event Security at the Empower FCU Amphitheater from May to September. Responsibilities include monitoring and responding to alerts from the Evolv Security System, controlling access to restricted areas, conducting bag searches, patrolling premises, serving as checkpoint personnel, responding to safety and security calls, and compiling incident reports. Requirements include a New York State Security Guard License, a high school diploma and/or 2 years of verifiable experience, and good knowledge of security operations and safety practices. Skills needed include strong customer service, confidentiality, excellent communication, judgment, tact, diplomacy, and teamwork. Physical abilities required include standing, walking, climbing stairs, maintaining composure in high-stress situations, agility, sharp vision, and the capacity to lift or move objects exceeding 50lbs.
