Job Description
Field-based environmental technician position focused on air emissions testing and monitoring at industrial project sites. Regional travel required to client sites during the standard work week. Company vehicle provided for travel, all travel time, expenses and per diem are paid for by company. Full-time / year-round schedule with consistent overtime available. Entry-level role with established career path and opportunity for advancement.
**Must be commutable to Elmhurst, Illinois**
Responsibilities: - Perform air emissions testing and monitoring for a variety of industrial clients
- Transport equipment to site using company vehicle, set up and break down of testing equipment
- Record data, collect samples
- Equipment calibrations
- Assist engineers in air quality testing procedures
- Environmental, health and safety protocols
- Organize and load testing equipment into vehicles for upcoming jobs
- Maintenance and cleaning of testing equipment
- Using company resources, gain proficiency in performing EPA Test Methods 1-5
Qualifications: - B.S. in Environmental Science or related field of study preferred
- Previous experience working in a field-based capacity
- Previous experience using testing instruments to collect samples and record data
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work well in team settings
- Candidates must be comfortable working at heights and lifting up to 75 lbs to set up testing equipment
