Job Title: Lab Technician

Job Description: Element Staffing is recruiting for an Entry Level Lab Technician for a specialty chemical company in Concord, NC. The Lab Technician will be responsible for supporting the applications and research department through a variety of laboratory testing.

Duties/Responsibilities/Qualifications:

• Assist and support Analytical Chemists and other laboratory personnel in nonroutine testing.
• Prepare samples for analysis and perform analytical testing by use of extruders, particle size analyzers, colorimeters, melt flow index, draw downs, and other established procedures.
• Properly document results and assist in the development and improvement of laboratory SOPs.
• Maintain all laboratory databases with new results for record keeping and report generation.
• Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment per the current maintenance schedule.
• Interact and communicate results and activities to Lab Management, Production, Operations, and Customer Service.
• Actively participate and maintain compliance with company HSE program and policies.
• Assist with raw material stocks, inventory control, and general housekeeping.
• Other duties as assigned by lab manager.

Years of Experience: 0-2+ years
Education: BS Science – Chemistry, Biology or related
Shift/Travel: M-F, 7:30am-4:30pm
Compensation: DOE
Assignment Type: Long term contract to convert to permanent full-time
Location: Concord, NC
