Job Responsibilities:

• Measure and mark door and window openings to determine dimensions for installation

• Remove old or damaged doors and windows from existing structures

• Prepare openings for new door or window installations, including framing, weatherproofing, and insulation

• Install pre-hung doors, including hardware such as hinges, knobs, and locks

• Mount various types of windows, including single-hung, double-hung, casement, and sliding windows

• Apply weatherstripping, caulk, and sealants to ensure proper insulation and energy efficiency

• Install window treatments such as blinds, shades, or curtain rods when required

• Perform minor carpentry work related to door and window installations

• Clean up work areas and dispose of debris properly

• Ensure all installations meet building codes and safety standards

• Communicate effectively with customers and team members throughout the installation process

• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during installations

• Maintain accurate records of materials used and work completed

• Operate and maintain various hand and power tools safely and efficiently

• Stay updated on new installation techniques and product innovations in the industry

Skills Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• 2+ years of experience in door and window installation or related field

• Strong carpentry skills and knowledge of construction principles

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings

• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

• Ability to accurately measure and perform basic math calculations

• Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of various hand and power tools

• Understanding of building codes and safety regulations related to door and window installations

• Physical stamina to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work in various positions throughout the day

• Good problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively when faced with challenges

• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record

• Reliable transportation to job sites

• Willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends as needed

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to safety and following proper procedures at all times
